As the new energy era fully arrives, charging infrastructure is benefiting from a "dual circulation" dynamic—spanning both domestic and international markets—and exports of domestically produced charg
The global wave of transport electrification is sweeping across the world, marking the full-scale arrival of the new energy era. As indispensable core infrastructure for recharging new energy vehicles (NEVs), charging piles have not only sparked a construction boom across my country but are also expanding into international markets—leveraging the country's complete industrial chain to drive simultaneous growth in domestic infrastructure expansion and overseas trade volume. Thanks to advantages in technology, production capacity, and comprehensive solutions, domestically produced charging piles are exported worldwide, serving as a new growth engine for China's new energy trade and helping to bridge critical gaps in global green energy infrastructure.
**Comprehensive domestic charging networks lay the foundation for global expansion**
After years of large-scale development, my country has established the world's largest and most versatile charging infrastructure network. With highly mature systems for R&D, manufacturing, and operations and maintenance (O&M), the industry has built a solid foundation for exporting charging equipment.
Current domestic charging layouts provide multi-layered coverage: private charging piles are installed in new residential complexes, and charging points are added during the renovation of older neighborhoods; high-power fast-charging and 480kW ultra-fast charging units are densely distributed across urban commercial districts, office buildings, and industrial parks; charging stations cover all highway and national road service areas; commercial cluster charging piles serve logistics parks and heavy-duty truck depots; and smart stations integrating solar power, energy storage, and charging are being rapidly deployed. New-generation smart charging piles feature IoT connectivity, dynamic load balancing, and peak-shaving energy storage technologies; these not only address the recharging pain points of domestic EV owners but also utilize mature technical solutions that can be quickly adapted to the grid and vehicle standards of various overseas markets.
A complete upstream and downstream industrial chain provides the core strength for the global expansion of domestic charging piles: from power modules, main control boards, and communication controllers to complete charging units, China has achieved independent production across the entire value chain. With abundant capacity and stable delivery schedules, the industry is capable of fulfilling large-scale turnkey orders for major overseas charging stations. Intense competition in the domestic market compels companies to continuously innovate in areas such as ultra-fast charging, smart O&M, and multi-protocol compatibility for international markets. Their products—benchmarked against rigorous international standards for stability, conversion efficiency, and protection ratings—possess the competitive strength to go head-to-head with top-tier global brands.
